Anonymous Call Rejection
Refuse calls from those who have blocked their number. (*77 activates, *87 cancels)
By dialing a simple code, you can program your phone to refuse calls
from numbers which have blocked their number and/or name. Those callers
get a special message which says you do not accept anonymous calls and
suggests they remove the blocking and call again. All other calls ring
through as usual. back to top -
Call Forward and Selective Call Forwarding
Automatically forward your incoming calls to another telephone number
so you won't miss important calls if you are at another location.
To Forward Calls:
-
Dial
*72 (Rotary, dial 1172) then listen for a steady dial tone. Next, dial
the telephone number to which calls will be forwarded. This number will
ring as a courtesy to let the party know calls will be forwarded to
that number. If no one answers/line is busy:
To Cancel Call Forwarding:
NOTE: Any calls forwarded to long distance numbers will be charged to you.
Selective Call Forwarding
Decide which callers should follow you to another number (*63)
Now you don't
need to wait by the phone. By Dialing a simple code, you can program
your phone to forward only those calls from a special list of numbers
to another number. Whether you're spending time on the road, or time at
a friends house, you won't be out of touch. back to top -
Call Waiting
This service lets you know when another party is trying to contact you
while you are already engaged in a telephone conversation. It signals
(beeps) that you are receiving another call while you are engaged in
conversation. You can answer the incoming call and talk privately
without losing the original party. You can also alternate between
parties.
To Use the Call Waiting Feature:
To end the first conversation and begin the second, just hang up. Your
telephone will immediately ring back with the second call.(OR)To put the first call on "hold", press and release the hookswich. You are now connected with the second call.
To return to the
first call, press and release the hookswitch again. You can switch back
and forth between callers as often as you like.
For temporary
cancel, press *70 (Rotary, 1170), listen for beeps, then dial tone.
Dial the number you want to call. (This cancels Call Waiting for one
call only. back to top -
Distinctive Ringing/Call Waiting
You'll know when someone special is calling. (*61)
Waiting for a high
priority call? By dialing a simple code, you can make a list of special
callers. When any of those special numbers call your home, there's a
special ring to announce those calls. If you're on the line with
another call, you'll get a distinctive Call Waiting tone (if you
subscribe to Call Waiting). back to top -
Caller Identification Service
See the telephone number of the person calling you before you answer the phone. When
you receive a call, the telephone number and/or name of the person
calling you will automatically appear on your display screen.
**If you choose to
answer the call, the number will remain on the screen until you or the
caller hangs up. If the letter "P" or "Private" appears on your screen,
the caller may have blocked the display of their number before placing
the call.
If "unknown number"
or "O" appears, the caller is in an area that does not support Calling
Number Services. Numbers are revealed unless the customer activates
blocking BEFORE each call, or subscribes to Per Line Blocking.
**(To use Caller ID
Service, you need a display phone or a display add-on unit for your
existing phone. Both are available through Climax Telephone or any
telephone retail store.) back to top -
Selective Call Acceptance
Decide which calls
you'll take (*64) - Have total control over the number of calls you
receive. By dialing simple code, you can program your phone to accept
only those calls from a special list of people. All other callers get a
message suggesting they call back later. Now you can protect your quiet
time but still be reached by that special person. Try it and give
yourself and the phone a little rest. back to top -
Caller Identification Blocking
PER CALL BLOCKING
(*67) - By dialing a simple code before you place a call, you can block
the call from revealing your telephone number to the party you are
calling. If the person you are calling has Caller ID Delivery, the
words "Private" or "Anonymous" will show in the display instead of your
telephone number.
Per Call Blocking
will be added to your line automatically, and there will be no charge
to use it. However, Per Call Blocking may not work on certain lines. If
Per Call Blocking does not work on your line, the caller will hear a
recording.
PER LINE BLOCKING -
Per Line Blocking will prevent your number from being displayed on all
calls made from your line. Instead, the word "Private" or "Anonymous"
will be displayed to someone who has Caller ID Service. Call the
business office to request this service.
PER CALL UNBLOCKING (*82) - is available on all line-blocked lines at no charge. back to top -
