Expert Mode Standard DSL Setup for Windows XP/2000

                                                           

1.  Right click Network Places/Neighborhood.  Select properties.                                                        

 

2.  Right click your enabled local area connection. Select properties.

                                               

3. Click on Internet Protocol (TCP/IP), and then click the properties button.

                       

4.  Enter IP Address:  192.168.1.2 ß Last digit can be any number from 2-254

(Note: When connecting multiple computers, each must have a unique last number.)      

           

5.  Enter Subnet Mask:  255.255.255.0           

 

6.  Enter the New gateway of: 192.168.1.1      

 

7.  Enter DNS Server Search Order                

            Preferred:  64.136.224.18                   

            Alternate:  64.136.224.19        

 

• Standard mode means the CTS router performs NAT (Network Address Translation) firewall functions.
• CTS recommends customers have antivirus software and adware/spyware removal software running on all host machines.
